The bowl is of circular form with fluted sides. It has a tapering foot with two handlers and a fluted cover. The body is decorated with rocaille and engraved with Cyrillic initials ‘EG’ beneath an Imperial crown. The cover is surmounted by a bud-shaped finial. The bowl is marked under the base, on the cover and handles.
